Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026. This policy explains how Waytale AI collects, uses, shares, and protects information.

1. Who operates Waytale AI

Waytale AI, Waytale, the Waytale name, product experience, content, logo, and related branding are owned by Enterprise ID Solutions, LLC. This Privacy Policy applies to the Waytale AI mobile app, website, beta programs, support channels, and related services operated for Waytale AI.

2. Information we collect

Waytale AI is a navigation and audio storytelling service. Depending on the feature you use, we may collect or process:

  • Location and route information: current location, starting point, destination, route geometry, travel mode, route progress, and nearby places needed for directions and story cues.
  • Story preferences: interests such as history, culture, food, nature, architecture, hidden gems, narration settings, and story depth choices.
  • AI prompt context: route context, nearby place context, preferences, and safety-limited instructions sent to AI services to create narration.
  • Device and technical information: app version, device type, operating system, diagnostic logs, crash information, timestamps, IP address, and service request metadata.
  • Support information: name, email address, screenshots, messages, and other details you choose to send when contacting us.
  • Website information: basic hosting logs such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs.

3. How we use information

  • Provide map display, search, route planning, directions, and location-based story cues.
  • Generate, cache, and improve AI-powered audio narration.
  • Remember user preferences and app settings.
  • Debug crashes, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and protect service security.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and beta tester requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and App Store requirements.

4. Location data

Waytale AI asks for location permission because live directions and route-aware storytelling require location context. You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings. When location permission is not available, Waytale should allow manual route entry where practical, though some live features may not work.

Waytale AI is not an emergency service, autonomous vehicle control system, or safety-critical navigation system. Always obey road signs, laws, and real-world conditions.

5. AI and third-party processing

Waytale AI may use third-party AI providers, including Google Gemini, to generate narration. Route context, nearby place context, and selected interests may be sent to those providers for processing. We do not intend to send your full contact details, payment information, or unrelated personal files to AI services for narration.

Waytale AI may also use map, geocoding, routing, hosting, crash reporting, email, and security providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide, protect, or improve the service.

6. How we share information

We may share information:

  • With service providers that help operate Waytale AI, such as routing, AI narration, hosting, diagnostics, and support providers.
  • When you ask us to share information or when sharing is necessary to provide a feature you choose.
  • To comply with law, legal process, enforceable government requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • In connection with a business transaction such as merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use precise location for third-party advertising.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Active route data may be processed during a trip. Cached narration, diagnostic logs, and support records may be retained longer to improve performance, resolve issues, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion as described below.

8. Your choices and rights

  • You can turn off story narration in the app.
  • You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings.
  • You can request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information by contacting us.
  • You can opt out of beta communications by replying to the email or contacting support.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under laws such as U.S. state privacy laws, GDPR, or similar regulations. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

9. Children

Waytale AI is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for use by children without supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online or mobile service can be guaranteed completely secure, but production Waytale services are designed to keep sensitive provider credentials on server-side infrastructure rather than in publicly distributed app binaries.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Waytale AI evolves. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and provide notice where appropriate. Continued use of Waytale AI after an update means the updated policy applies.
